A Acadmia Sénior de Tavira é uma associação sem fins lucrativos e tem por objectivo incentivar a cultura, o saber, o convívio e a integração dos mais idosos, através de aulas de cultura geral, línguas, artes manuais, teatro, informática, bem como visitas de estudo, passeios e palestras, festas, lanches, almoços de convívio, etc.

who are we ?

We are a University of the Third Age located in Tavira and

welcome citizens and residents. Our principal objective is to

promote culture, knowledge and healthy friendship among seniors.

We offer lessons on cultural subjects, such as Portuguese

History, Sociology and Computing, as well as two levels of

Portuguese for Foreigners. There are also workshops for

Decorative Arts, Painting, Patchwork and Theatre, and we

organize cultural visits, lectures of general interest, social

gatherings ….
